Frozen soundtrack was the best selling album of the year 2014. The album which was released as far back November 2013, sold 7,057,000 copies in 2014.

Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ follows second, after it sold an incredible 4,619,000 copies in only two months of release. The album dropped worldwide on October 27th but the ‘Out of Woods’ singer’s amazing selling power ensured she beats her competitors who released their albums way before her.

Michael Jackson Tops the List of Highest Earning Dead Celebrities

Forbes just released the list of highest earning dead celebrities… and once again the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, tops the list.

Michael Jackson earned an incredible $140 million to top the highest earning dead celebrities list again. Over the last 12 months, the King of Pop released an album ‘Xscape’, but much of his earnings were from Cirque du Soleil shows—Immortal, which is now the seventh highest grossing tour of all time, plus his half of the Sony/ATV publishing empire and his own Mijac catalogue.

Elvis Presley follows second on the list with 55 million dollars in earnings. The King of Rock n Roll got much of his earnings from the Graceland museum.

Nicki Minaj Beats Michael Jackson For Most Hot 100 Hits

Congratulations are certainly in order for rapper Nicki Minaj.

Ever since she made her debut, the ‘Anaconda’ artist keeps on breaking records. This week, Nicki Minaj toppled Michael Jackson on the list of most Billboard Hot 100 hits.

Nicki and MJ were both tied at 50 entries but with Anaconda opening at No.19 on the Billboard Hot 100, the femcee now has an incredible 51 Hot 100 hits in only six years.

While beating MJ in most Hot 100 entries is a great feat, we must note that most of Michael’s hits from his illustrious career were as a lead act. Nicki can only boast of 20 leads from the 51 songs that entered the Hot 100. Most of her songs on Hot 100 is as a result of being featured.

After breaking this record, Nicki Minaj took to Instagram to celebrate her recent achievement. “Made history today. I didn’t even know I was tied with Michael Jackson with 50 Hot 100 entries on Billboard. Anaconda makes 51 and now I’m tied with Rod Stewart. God bless, and thank you,” she announced on Instagram.

New Video: Michael Jackson – ‘A Place With No Name’

The Michael Jackson estate have unveiled the official music video for new single, ‘A Place With No Name’. The music video marks the first time a video has premiered on Twitter.

‘A Place With No Name,’ which is produced by Stargate and Dr Freeze, is the second single lifted from Michael Jackson’s critically acclaimed and commercially successful posthumous album ‘Xscape’. The song samples America’s 1972 classic ‘A Horse With No Name’.

The music video was directed by iconic award-winning director Samuel Bayer.

 

Beyonce To Perform and Receive MTV Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs

Hide your faves, Hurricane Beyonce is coming.

It is confirmed! Beyonce is set to rock the forthcoming MTV Video Music Awards 2014. The ‘Diva’ songstress will not only perform at the awards but also receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

Past receipients of the much coveted award includes Michael Jackson himself, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Madonna, Peter Gabriel, R.E.M., Beastie Boys and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Beyonce was nominated in eight categories—the most nominations for the night. The self-proclaimed King B was nominated for ‘Video of The Year’, ‘Best Female Video’, ‘Best Choreography’, ‘Best Video With a Social Message’, ‘Best Collaboration’, ‘Best Cinematography’, ‘Best Direction’, and ‘Best Editing’.

King B had already performed at the MTV VMAs three times. She last rocked the show at the 2011 VMAs when performed ‘Love on Top’ and famously announced her pregnancy.

Other artists confirmed to perform at the 2014 VMAs are Taylor Swift, Usher, Ariana Grande, Maroon 5 and 5 Seconds of Summer.

After Pop star-Michael Jackson’s death on June 25, 2009 at age 50, his family brought a civil lawsuit of wrongful death against concert promoter AEG Live, seeking up to $40 billion…

Yesterday, a jury in California found that AEG was not in any way liable for the actions of Michael’s former personal physician Conrad Murray.

The jury found that AEG had hired Murray as Jackson’s personal physician, but that Murray was competent to practice medicine because he held a valid medical license.

Dr Conrad Murray Sentenced To Four Years In Prison

Judge Michael Pastor today sentenced Dr. Conrad Murray to 4 YEARS IN PRISON. However, Dr Murray will not spend a single day in prison because of a new California law.  He will serve his sentence in L.A. County Jail. Even in jail, the most Murray will serve is half the sentence.

Delivering the judgement, Judge Pastor seemed angry and talked repeatedly about Dr. Murray’s documentary in which he laid the blame at Michael Jackson’s doorstep.  it seems the documentary did Dr Murray no good, rather helped to get him the maximum sentence.

During the sentence, Judge Pastor said, “There are those who feel Dr. Murray is a saint.  There are those who feel he’s the devil.  He is neither.  He’s a human being.”

I Want to Commit Suicide-Conrad Murray

Dr. Conrad Murray has been telling friends and family who have visited him in jail that, he no longer has the will to live and he wants to kill himself.

The fact that he was found guilty for the death of a world loving person and legend like Michael Jackson has killed his spirit to continue living.

It is reported that, Murray has told various people he wanted to kill himself, including baby mama Nicole Alvarez, his bodyguard Jeff and his lawyers.

Sad right? Suicide should never be option for anyone in life!

Michael Jackson’s Doctor ‘Conrad Murray’ Found Guilty Of Involuntary Manslaughter

After 6 weeks of trial, a guilty verdict was returned by the jury yesterday in the Michael Jackson and Conrad Murray’s manslaughter case; meaning  Jackson’s doctor (Conrad Murray) was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the pop star’s death for supplying an insomnia-plagued Jackson with a powerful operating-room anesthetic to help him sleep as he rehearsed for his big comeback.

Conrad faces 4 years in jail and was remanded in custody until sentencing on 29th November, 2011. Meanwhile Defense attorney Ed Chernoff said later in the day the verdict was a disappointment and would be appealed.
