Singer Lauryn Hill announced the arrival of her new baby boy over the weekend who was born on Saturday the 23rd of July. The news came as a bit of a surprise considering her actual pregnancy was only known some months back. She played that one well in keeping it quiet and probably with good reason.

Mother and baby are fine,” says the source, who adds that Hill and family “had a little scare because the baby came out the womb with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. All is well now and everyone is happy.” Hill already has five kids with her long time boyfriend Rohan Marley, who was recently in the news for allegedly dumping a pregnant Hill for Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana.

As many know Rohan has dismissed the rumors saying, “Ms. Hill is the mother of my children, whom I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for. I would never do that. To date there has been no further revelations on who the father is. All the same
